Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Clinton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours (0700-1930)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Float: Float within skillset required
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
• Charge Nurse Experience: Preferred
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Exams:

  • Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms

Required Qualifications & Competencies

• Successful completion of Relias Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam within 1 year of start, with required scores (80% overall, 100% lethal rhythms)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam within 3 years, passing score 80% or higher
• Color Blind Testing (online or in-person)
• Competency Exam within 3 years, passing score 80% or higher

Background & Health Requirements

• Criminal background check within 90 days, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Education verification for highest degree required by position
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Immunizations and documentation required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer documentation
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season

Additional Requirements

• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually
• Valid state nursing license required prior to start
• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required annually

Notes

• Locals within 60 miles may be eligible for different rates
• Facility-specific modules (SITELS) must be completed before hire date
• N95 fit test required within 9 months of start and updated annually (client may complete on-site if needed)
• Charge nurse experience is preferred but not mandatory
