Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Outpatient
Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: 40 hours/week
- Option for 5 days of 8-hour shifts
- Or 4 days of 10-hour shifts (Tuesday to Friday)
Job Description
- Must have at least 1 year of SLP experience, preferably in pediatrics.
- New graduates are not accepted due to supervision requirements.
- Patient caseload varies by shift length:
- 11-13 patients per day on 10-hour shifts
- 10-12 patients per day on 8-hour shifts
- Visits are single booked, 45-minute sessions.
- Pediatric experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Arkansas
- Speech Language Pathologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
Additional Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Background checks including SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, and Sex Offender registry within the last 7 years.
- Annual verification of EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusions.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start date (with specific protocols for past positives).
- Immunization or titer proof for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination during flu season (October 1 - March 31).
- Professional references:
- 2 for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
- 1 for per diem non-acute care roles
- Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
Notes
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
