Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Massachusetts, Leominster

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (ER)
• Location: Leominster, Massachusetts
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday
• Shift Flexibility: Must be able to start 4 hours before or after scheduled start time based on department needs
• Possible Float: May float to a nearby campus

Experience Requirements

• Specialty Experience: Minimum 18 months of ER experience required
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Licensure & Certifications

• Licensure: Massachusetts RN license (Perm MA license in hand required)
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Preferred: Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release (updated annually)
• 7-year Criminal Background Check (within 30 days of start)
• Education Verification (highest completed education)
• Various background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Sex Offender Search (as applicable)
• State-specific searches (Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search)
• Physical Exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions
• Drug Testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
• Immunizations and/or declinations for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccination or declination)
  • Flu (seasonal vaccination or declination)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
• TB testing and questionnaire (including chest x-ray if positive)
• Medication and Telemetry competency exams (pass/fail testing required)
• References: 2 references within 3 years of start
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist updated annually as applicable

Additional Notes

• Must pass medication and telemetry exams with a minimum score of 80% on the first day of orientation
• May be required to complete additional certifications or training modules onsite (e.g., Crisis Prevention Institute)
• Flexibility and adaptability to critical department needs are essential

This position is ideal for experienced ER Registered Nurses licensed in Massachusetts who meet the certification and compliance requirements and are comfortable with a flexible schedule and travel contract assignment.
