Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)

Location: La Plata, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks (will consider 13 to 20 weeks)
Start Date: 02/16/2026
Shift: Days, 3 shifts of 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required, holidays as scheduled
Hours: 36 hours every other week
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• RRT-Peds experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Licenses & Certifications Required

• CRT or RRT
• BLS (AHA only)
• ACLS (AHA only)
• PALS (AHA only, e-cards must include eCodes, cannot expire within 30 days of start)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (AHA/AAP only)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (NCC C-EFM required, AWHONN not accepted)
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., CHEMO, TNCC, STABLE)

• Floating within specialty as needed
• No on-call required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks & Verifications

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification for highest level of education
• Maryland State Exclusions List check within 30 days of start
• Work history verification for previous 5 years (attestation accepted if necessary)
• Two supervisory references within 1 year of start
• Agency application/resume completed within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including Latex Screen
• Fit test for N95 respirator within 1 year of start (specific mask models required)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for units working with children)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol, updated annually
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination accepted, series not accepted)
  • Varicella
• Negative drug screen (9 or 10 panel + Fentanyl depending on facility) within 30-45 days prior to start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required by specified deadlines
• COVID vaccine not required for this location, but documentation or exemption may be collected for tracking

Competency Exams (as applicable)

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam
• Color blind testing
• General competency exam
• Age-specific competency exam (including CNAs)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (exclusions apply)

Facility-Specific Documents (must be completed prior to start)

• Photo for badge (passport style with solid background)
• Computer system agreement
• Confidentiality statement
• Corporate compliance acknowledgment
• Job description acknowledgment (RN or Non-RN as applicable)
• Badge application (security ID)
• Dress code review
• Latex allergy questionnaire
• Portfolio Epic training test out form (if applicable)

Additional Notes

• Floating within specialty may be required
• Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• No on-call duties
• Candidates must meet all licensing, certification, health, and compliance requirements prior to start
• Documentation must be submitted timely to avoid delays
