Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Bend, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse
  • Years of Experience Required: 3 years
  • Epic Experience: Required
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable
    • CNOR preferred
  • Skills Required:
    • Ortho Trauma
    • Craniotomy
    • Trauma (Level II)
  • On-Call Requirements:
    • Call every 6 weeks for 2 weeknights
    • One weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 12-hour shifts (days or nights) every 1.5 months
  • Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Locals Accepted: No (75-mile radius rule)
  • Pending License: Accepted on a case-by-case basis
  • Return to Office Restrictions: Maximum 7 total days in 13-week assignment
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted with 3 years experience

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 90 days of start
  • Education verification (highest level) with diploma or transcript on file
  • Primary source verification of state license
  • NURSYS verification for RN license
  • Photo for badge (passport-style, solid background) required within 48 hours of signing
  • Completion of facility-specific confidentiality, compliance, and emergency contact forms within 48 hours of signing

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable, with annual TB questionnaire
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer required)
    • Varicella
  • Negative 12-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or agency declination/exemption required during flu season
  • Respiratory safety clearance required annually

Competency Requirements

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • General competency exam as applicable
  • Annual skills checklist required
