Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Stroke Program

Monday to Friday
8- or 10-hour shifts (Day shift example: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours/week)

Job Description

Work with stroke patient population at a certified Stroke Center.
Experience with code response is mandatory.
Role involves heavy chart audits, data abstraction, and tracking stroke program guidelines using Epic.
No direct hands-on patient care; focus on ensuring workflow compliance with stroke protocols.
May float to nearby facilities (Cherry Hill and Redmond).
Candidates with ER or neuro inpatient experience may be considered if stroke coordinator experience is lacking (subject to manager review).

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum of 1 year of stroke experience, with stroke experience within the last year.
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
Experience with code response.
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Completion of stroke-related HealthStream certifications:
- Treatment Pathway for Inpatient Nurses
- Yale Swallow Protocol
- Individualizing Stroke Care Plans and Education
- SNAP Stroke Neuro Assessment
Stroke Education Certification (8-hour course completed within the last year).
