Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Gardner, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Weekly Hours: 40
  • Call, float, and weekend requirements: None
  • Average daily census and nurse-to-patient ratios: Not specified
  • Unit Systems: Omnicell, Meditech Expanse, SBAR

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Background Requirements

  • Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release
  • 7-year Criminal Background Check (including aliases, counties, national, sex offender, education verification) within 30 days of start; updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
  • Education Verification or official transcript
  • Primary source verification of state license
  • Photo for badge (passport-style, light background, neck up, facing forward)

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year (acceptable masks: 1870+, 1860, 1860S); onsite fit testing available if needed
  • Adult dose of Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray with TB questionnaire (annual questionnaire accepted in lieu of test)
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (series or positive titer; if low/equivocal, vaccination series and signed declination required)
    • Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 booster documentation or signed declination
