Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: San Luis Obispo, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day Shift, 40 hours per week, 8:30 AM start
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• Mammography Technologist experience within the last year

Background and Health Requirements

• Background check covering last 7 years, including social security trace, county/state searches, federal court jurisdictions, OIG, OFAC, SAM, FACIS 3, National Sex Offender, DMV/MVR if driving required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 90 days of start (not required annually)
• Drug testing within 30 days before start
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test (QGold/TSpot) within 30 days, updated annually
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B – positive titers or vaccination series required; declinations accepted in some cases with signed forms
  • Flu seasonal vaccination or facility-specific declination/exemption required during flu season (10/31 - 04/30)
  • COVID-19 seasonal booster required or facility-specific declination form
• N95 Fit Mask test preferred; PAPR documentation if applicable

Additional Requirements

• Current picture identification (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Photo for badge (passport style, high resolution)
• Completion of facility-specific agreements and acknowledgments prior to start (confidentiality, waiver of benefits, intellectual property rights, contractor compliance education)
• References: 2 clinical references verified within 1 year of start
• Employment application/resume with 7-year work history including gaps
• Unit-specific skills checklist required
• Radiation badge not required (facility provides for X-Ray, CT, Nuc Med, PET/CT associates)
