Job Opportunity: Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

• Work in a family medicine outpatient clinic with approximately 3.5 providers.
• Responsibilities include phone triage, calling patients with results, answering portal messages, and completing nurse visits as needed.
• Clinic is closed on major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's).
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5 days a week, 8-hour shifts).
• Floating: May be required to float to alternate locations to cover openings.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Call-in policy: If a shift is missed, the nurse must pick up another shift to make up for it.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana.
• Minimum 1 year of clinic nursing experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including a 7-year search, sex offender registry, and international criminal checks if applicable.
• Annual verification of EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusions.
• Transcript/Diploma verification required.
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, updated annually.
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (3M 1860R or 1860S masks).
• Immunizations and titers required or documentation of immunity for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, renewed annually
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines with boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, history of chickenpox, or declination/booster)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually.
• Two professional references required.
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required with minimum passing score of 80%.
• Color blindness testing required.

Notes

• Locals within 50 miles are accepted as travelers.
• Charting system used: Meditech.

This position is suitable for RNs with at least 1 year of experience who are interested in outpatient family medicine and phone triage nursing in a travel contract role.
