Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Night shift position: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday (non-negotiable)
• Work in a Level 1 trauma hospital with comprehensive stroke center and 24/7 CT coverage
• Average patient volume: 120 patients per 24-hour period (outpatients, inpatients, emergency department)
• Night shift covers CT and diagnostic X-Ray, divided among 3 techs
• Venipuncture preferred but not required on some shifts
• Equipment used: Siemens Somatom Edge and Force CT scanners, MedRad Injectors

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Montana
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT certifications in CT and Radiography (R) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with Siemens CT equipment required

Required Certifications & Documents

• Current and valid driver’s license or government photo ID
• Background check (7-year, including criminal, sex offender, and other required screenings) within 30 days of start, renewed annually
• Education verification of highest level completed
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only (required for certain departments)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• Other certifications as applicable (PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) depending on department
• State license verification (Montana RT license required) within 30 days of start (temp licenses not accepted)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, stating good health and ability to perform job duties
• Quantitative fit test with 3M mask within 90 days prior to start (renewed annually)
• Immunizations and/or titers for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual renewal required)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
• Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required Oct 31 - Mar 31)
• COVID vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption

Additional Requirements

• Two references required, including a direct supervisor reference within the last year
• Current employment application covering 7 years of work history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Employment verification preferred for the last 5 years
• Skills checklist as applicable

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Locals within 75 miles are not eligible for this position

This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity trauma and stroke center environment with advanced imaging technology on a night shift travel contract.
