Job Overview

• Location: Morristown, Tennessee
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
• Hours per week: 36

Key Job Details

• Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date.
• Must be open to floating to MS/Tele, ER Holding, or possibly PCU/Stepdown depending on skills and need.
• Weekend requirement: 6 weekend nights per 6-week schedule.
• Holiday coverage may be required.
• Patient ratio: 1:7.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Float experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS certification
• Must pass a color blind test within 12 months prior to start date.
• Must complete a medication test/pharmacology competency exam.
• Must complete a competency exam.
• Must complete Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III competency exams.
• Must complete a dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 12 months of start and score 80% or higher.
• Must provide 2 supervisory references completed within the last 3 years.
• Must have a unit-specific skills checklist completed within the last year.
• Must provide a 7-year work history with no gaps over 30 days without explanation.
• Must provide a current state ID or driver’s license.
• Must provide a passport-style photo for badge use.
• Must complete a background check.
• Must complete a physical exam within 12 months of start.
• Must provide proof of a negative TB test or chest X-ray.
• Must complete TB questionnaire.
• Must provide MMR, hepatitis B, varicella, and flu documentation.
• Must complete drug testing within 45 days of start.

Preferred

• ACLS certification
