Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Portland, Oregon
- Day shift: 4x10s, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM
- Weeknight and weekend call required
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Electrophysiology Technician (2 years of experience)
- Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- CCI RCES
- Operation of Cardiac Stimulator
- Operation of radiofrequency generator
- Use of CRM (continuous rhythm management) programmers
- Experience with Epic
Role Details
- Assists EP medical staff with invasive electrophysiology procedures
- Provides technical assistance for arrhythmia procedures, including implantation and programming of arrhythmia control devices, electrophysiology studies, and arrhythmia ablations
- Procedures include diagnostic EP studies, atrial flutter/fib ablations, PVC ablations, SVT ablations, VT ablations, temp pacer, Watchman, Lariat, loop recorders, and implanted pacemakers/defibrillators
- Patients require continuous cardiac monitoring and frequent physician, nursing, and technologist intervention
Work Location
- EP Lab
- Outpatient procedures are also performed at the Multispecialty Procedure Unit (MSPU) in Building 2
- Staff are expected to work in both locations
- On-call team is available 7 days a week after routine hours
