Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio
- 16-week assignment
- Day or night 12-hour shifts; rotating schedules may include days, nights, or both depending on department needs
- Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity
Unit Details
- Mixed-acuity PCU/MS Tele unit caring for medical oncology patients
- High-acuity patient population
- Approximate unit size: 48 beds total
- Pediatric patients are extremely rare on this unit
- Focus areas include infection prevention and fall prevention
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Oncology experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel experience preferred
Additional Notes
- Chemotherapy competence is not required
- Staffing ratios aim for 1:4–5 but may vary
- Weekend shifts are variable

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
