PICU Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Tucson, Arizona
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Floating to Pediatrics
• Full contract length required
• No locals
• Do not submit to multiple positions
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Average daily census: 8–10

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic

Schedule Expectations

• Every other weekend coverage required

Preferred

• CPI certification

Compliance / Onboarding

• Certifications must not expire within 30 days of start
• Background check and required verifications must be completed within 30 days of start
• Drug screening must be started within 72 hours of booking and completed within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit testing within 1 year of start
• Negative TB screening within 3 months of start
• References: 2 professional references from employment within the last 3 years, including 1 supervisory reference
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Last 7 years of work history must be included, and gaps of 30 days or more must be explained

Additional Notes

• Candidate must complete required orientation and acknowledgment documents before start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required during flu season
• Tdap is mandatory for this role, and declinations are not accepted for Pediatrics/PICU-related units
