Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical / Telemetry)

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Primarily assigned to Medical Surgical unit with possible rotation to Telemetry unit as needed.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday.
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius.
• First-time travel nurses are welcome.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Telemetry experience within the last year, minimum 1 year.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete facility orientation packet, medical surveillance checklist, and various vaccine declination forms if applicable prior to start.
• No onsite classes available for crisis management certifications; online courses from various providers accepted.
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Pennsylvania; mailing fingerprint packets to candidates is not allowed.
• Candidates with positive TB history must provide verbal confirmation and complete annual TB questionnaire.
• Candidates declining flu vaccine must wear a mask through March 31 of the flu season year.

This position offers a structured night shift schedule with a focus on Medical Surgical nursing and Telemetry, suitable for nurses with at least one year of experience and all required certifications and clearances current.
