Position Details

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (06:45 AM – 5:15 PM), Monday to Friday, variable days, no holidays
- First-time travelers: Not accepted

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Circulator, with at least 1 year of OR Circulate experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Background and Screening Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check required within 45 days of start, including nationwide and sex offender searches
- Additional checks: EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, State-specific WA WATCH search
- Education verification required (not applicable for RN but noted for other roles)
- Photo for badge: Professional waist-up photo required
- License primary source verification required
- WA License Complaint Clearance required for all using WA State License
- References: 2 professional references required
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS (Basic Life Support) by AHA required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred but not required for OR
- Other certifications (e.g., PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC) not required for this position unless specified by unit
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required (minimum 80% in dosage calculations)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam not required for OR RN
- Pass/fail orientation testing required with 80% passing score
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam: Within 1 year prior to start (not required by facility but required by agency)
- Mask Fit Test: Required within 12 months of start (specific mask models)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine: Required within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start; annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer or declination; vaccine series plus confirmatory titer required)
- Varicella
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Sept 29 - Mar 31)
- COVID vaccination or declination required for tracking purposes
Facility-Specific Documents & Compliance
- Must sign facility-specific job description, license acknowledgment, equipment safety form, health history form, policies and procedures acknowledgment, PCIS agreement, personal data form, code of conduct acknowledgment, and national background check form
- Completion of orientation modules and testing prior to start date required
- Annual stroke education required for certain units (not specifically for OR)
- Suicide prevention training and demographic attestation required for multi-state licensed nurses working in Washington (not applicable to APN or first-time travelers)

- No on-call or floating responsibilities
