Overview
- Registered Nurse (RN) assignment in Des Moines, Iowa.
- 13-week contract.
- Days shift.
Unit Details
- Med surg unit with overflow of post-op surgical hips/knees and psych patients.
- 24 beds.
- Patient ratio: 4-5:1.
- Tele tech unit monitoring: Remote.
- Drips include heparin.
- Scrubs: navy blue, solids.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience.
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
- Experience in Charge roles.
- Experience with Epic.
- AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/American Red Cross BLS.
- Driver's License.
- Must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Cannot be a local candidate.
- Must be able to float across all campuses.
- Must work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed.
Preferred
- Experience caring for psych patients.
- Precept experience.
- Reference/check from charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months.
