Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will protect, promote, and restore health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of licensure. Responsibilities include collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination, assessing and supporting physical symptoms, providing psychological support to patients and families, mentoring team members, and promoting best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care by following best practice standards and achieving care goals.
• Lead nursing functions by assessing, planning, organizing, and directing care.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and adhere to documentation standards.
• Act autonomously while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
• Create a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support.
• Educate patients and families to meet their health needs.
• Participate in quality and process improvements to attain clinical excellence.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and comply with policies and protocols.
• Advocate for patients and caregivers to enhance nursing care within the healthcare continuum.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Experience: Current Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois or Michigan
• Licensure/Certification: Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience: Experience as an RN in a rehab care setting
• Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records and basic Microsoft applications

Additional Information

• Candidates must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting/moving objects up to 35 pounds and maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
• The role involves frequent emotional stress and potential exposure to hazardous conditions, including bloodborne pathogens and contagious diseases.
