Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Location: Washington, DC (must live within 50 miles)
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday
Hours: 8 hours per day (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), 40 hours per week
Contract Length: Not specified

Job Summary

Provide patient care in endoscopy by performing assessments, delivering age-appropriate care, and meeting patient, family, and community needs in accordance with licensure and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessments, documentation, and applying knowledge of treatment needs for endoscopy patients.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia
Minimum 3 years of endoscopy nursing experience, including experience within the last year
NIHSS certification
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
Prior travel nursing experience preferred (not required)

Key Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing assessments of assigned patients, including review of systems
Complete admission assessments within established time frames
Deliver competent, caring, and efficient nursing care
Interpret patient information to determine nursing needs
Understand and apply appropriate treatment for endoscopy patients across the lifespan

Additional Information

Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
