Job Opportunity: RN - Telemetry (Travel)
Location: Springfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry Specialty
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 (flexible, must be indicated on submission)
- Weekend Hours: As required by facility
- Call Requirements: None
- Float: Rotational basis
Unit Information
- Department: Surgical 3A (Telemetry)
- Number of Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios (estimates):
- Days: 1:5 to 1:6
- Nights: 1:6 to 1:8
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, telemetry, lift equipment
- EMR System: EPIC
- Patient Population: Cardiac/Medical-Surgical
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Competence in drug titration
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS (American Heart Association) certification preferred
- Trauma experience (inpatient) preferred
Additional Requirements & Information
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for travel period November 1 – April 1 (declinations not accepted)
- Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire week
- Flexible scheduling options available (blocked scheduling may be approved)
- Time off requests (RTO) must be made on the back end; no RTO in first week; only one holiday RTO per assignment
- Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance, pushing/pulling/gripping up to 50 lbs., and occasional kneeling/crouching/crawling
- High risk exposure to blood and body fluids

- Coordinates care with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and outcomes
