Work Schedule

• Work Week: 4 days (Monday - Friday)
• Shifts: Varied (8 hours)
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (5 days one week, 4 days the second week) + call requirement
• Night Shift: On call only

Unit Information

• Unit: Endoscopy
• Number of Beds: 2 procedure rooms, 1 lithotripsy room, 1 eye laser room
• Staffing: 6 total (4 RNs, 2 Endo techs)
• Patient Ratios: 1 circ + 1 scrub in every case; 1 RN in litho cases; 1 RN for eye lasers
• Equipment Used: Olympus scopes, Medivator washer system, Lumenis eye laser
• EMR: Meditech for circulator, Provation for some scheduling

Required Skills and Experience

• Must Have:

  • 18 months of Endoscopy experience
  • Proficiency in ERCP, EUS, EBUS, Bronchoscopy, EGD, colonoscopy, food bolus, biopsy, and specimen collection
  • Scope washing and reprocessing experience

• Preferred:

  • Experience in high volume, high acuity Endoscopy units
  • Ability to scrub and circulate

• EUS, ERCP, EBUS, Bronchoscopy, EGD, Colonoscopy, food bolus, GI bleed, fecal transplant

Additional Information

• Floating Area: Phase 2 recovery as needed
• Dress Code: OR scrubs
• On Call Requirements: Every 4th weekend on call (48 hours/weekend) + 4 weeknight shifts every 4 weeks (3:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
