Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a Trauma Surgical Unit specializing in acute care trauma and surgical patients.
• Patient population includes trauma, orthopedic, and urology cases.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:6.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team to address each patient’s specific needs.
• Collaborate with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and various surgical specialists.
• Provide individualized care for patients hospitalized for illness, surgery, testing, or observation.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Work schedule includes 36 or 48 hours per week, with every other weekend required and holidays as needed.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Facility uses Meditech EMR system.
• Position is patient-facing and clinical.
• Parking is available.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg Telemetry
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification

• This is an on-site position (not remote).
