Overview

• Travel RN position in Portland, Maine.
• Created to fill resignations.
• Requested schedule is a 48-hour night shift contract.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Shift: day and night.
• Call: none.
• Weekend hours: 36; weekends are every other.
• Holidays are as needed.

Unit

• Floor: Bean 5.
• Unit has 43 beds.
• Patient ratios:

  • Med/Surg day: 1:4-5
  • Med/Surg night: 1:5-6
  • IMC day and night: 3:1

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS
• Intermediate Care experience
• Experience with ventilator management
• Experience with tracheostomy care
• Experience reading and interpreting telemetry strips

Float Scope

• IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit within MMC.
• IMC RNs will float to med/surg as needed.
• Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with a similar level of care.

• Failure to Thrive
• Respiratory Failure
• Other acute-on-chronic medical conditions
