PACU Preop RN

Overview

Travel RN position in Los Alamos, New Mexico
1 opening
3rd floor
3-bed unit
Primarily adult patients; ENT cases once a month
Shared position with Preop; no expectation to float elsewhere
Days with some call on nights and weekends
Weekly guaranteed hours: around 40
Weekend coverage is on call
Call response time: 30 minutes to arrive after being notified of a case
Contract length: 6 weeks
Orientation is weekly on Mondays
Candidates must live 60 miles or greater away to be considered travel

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
PALS

Preferred Qualifications

Preop and PACU experience

Unit Details

Patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
Common cases/treatments: Appy, Gallbladder
EHR: CQI, Medhost

Dress Code

Scrub color: NA
Unacceptable attire: open-toed shoes, fake fingernails
