Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Day and night shifts available
• Every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NBRC
• NRP
• PALS
• 3 years of Level 2 NICU experience
• Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience

Preferred Qualifications

• STABLE certification

Unit Details

• 36-bed Level 3 NICU
• Typical staffing is 2 respiratory therapists per shift
• Uses Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A oscillators, Mallinckrodt nitric oxide, and Vapotherms

Key Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries
• Manage ventilators, including conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation
• Administer surfactant
• Obtain and interpret blood gases
• Administer nitric oxide
