Requirements

• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
• Experience:

  • Generalist ICU and PCU experience accepted
• Patient Ratio:

  • Standard RN ratio is 1:4
  • 1:3 for post-surgical patients in the first 24 hours
• Support Staff:

  • CNA ratio is 1:18

• Unit Description:

  • CVU is an 18-bed intermediate care unit supporting cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical lines. It cares for patients requiring intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients. The unit supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart procedures. All rooms are equipped with virtual integrated care to assist with patient care and education.
• Radius Rule: Candidates must be outside a 50-mile radius and may not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
• Driver's License: Required at submission to determine eligibility based on the 50-mile radius.
