CT Technologist Position - Devils Lake, North Dakota

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (CT) Certification
  • North Dakota Licensure
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Travel Experience: Preferred but not required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging including CT/CTA of head, neck, upper and lower extremities, abdomen, pelvis, spine, cervical, lumbar, maxillofacial/sinus areas.
• Conduct diagnostic imaging studies on average 5-30 patients per day on day shift, 2-12 patients per day on night shift.
• No clinical involvement beyond imaging.
• Must have CTA experience.
• Cross-training into Radiology or MRI may be required.

• X-ray: Siemens
• MRI: Philips
• Nuclear Medicine: Digirad
• Ultrasound: Philips
• Power Injector: Bracco
• EMR/PACS System: Meditech

Work Environment & Schedule

• Shifts: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with rotating call
• Weekend Work: Every third weekend with rotating call
• Holiday Work: Rotating holidays with on-call requirements
• Call: Rotating nights, weekends, and holidays; call hours 12:01 AM to 6:00 AM with 20-minute response time
• Department staffed until midnight; call coverage after midnight until 6:00 AM
• No Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on shift
• No use of Radiology Reporting Assistants (RRAs)
• Scrubs are not provided; no specific color requirement
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation

• Critical access hospital with 24/7 CT and X-ray availability
• Staff generally do not have call unless covering illness or short staffing
• Equipment is well-maintained with plans for replacement of aging equipment
• Work environment requires flexibility and ability to adapt to fast or slow-paced workflow
• Positive attitude and teamwork are important
• Radius rule: Candidates must be within 50 miles and cannot have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN with certain affiliated facilities in the past 12 months
• Return to Office (RTO) required upfront; no additional RTO approvals after submission
