CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Kansas, Garden City

Job Details

• Location: Garden City, Kansas
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Required
• Call Requirement: Yes, with response time expected
• Orientation: Department-specific orientation plus hospital orientation requirements; clinicians must be in-state for orientation week (even if some modules are remote)
• Travel Radius: 60 miles (driver’s license must be submitted)
• Work Setting: Utilization in both CT and X-ray departments; floating between CT and X-ray required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform all CT scans including strokes and trauma imaging
• Administer IV contrast (IV starts are done by ED or inpatient unit staff; technologists are not required to start IVs)
• Use GE 64-slice CT scanner and support imaging studies on one scanner/room
• Work with Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS systems
• Typical in-house radiologist coverage Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Required Qualifications

• Certified CT Technologist (ARRT CT)
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R)
• Kansas state license for Radiologic Technologist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience performing CT scans and IV contrast administration

• Agency must provide traveler radiation badge
• No scrub color or dress code requirements specified
• No self-scheduling or block scheduling available
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) support in department

This position is suitable for CT Technologists with solid experience in CT imaging and contrast administration who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with weekend, holiday, and call responsibilities.
