Contract Length

• 16 weeks

Shift

• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience in the specialty area
• Telemetry experience
• Strong IV skills
• Ability to titrate drips
• EPIC experience within the last year

Work Setting

• Step-down / PCU unit
• Acute care inpatient setting
• Teaching facility experience is preferred

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4
• Common patient types include cardiac, renal, pulmonary, psychiatric, and wound care cases
• Most patients are on telemetry
• Monitor techs are available 24/7
• Nurses must be able to read and interpret their own strips
• CNA support is available depending on census

Schedule Expectations

• Self-scheduling is used after the initial schedule period
• Minimum of 6 Saturdays or Sundays in a 6-week period
• No call requirement
• Holidays are worked at manager discretion based on unit needs
• No holiday RTO is approved

Orientation

• 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Additional pre-start modules are required
• Day 1 includes classroom and unit orientation, followed by precepted unit time

Other Important Notes

• Must provide DOB and SSN
• One supervisor reference from the most recent or current assignment is required
• Charge nurse or tech references are not accepted
• Must disclose any prior work for the facility
• Zero tolerance for license or background hits
• Black scrub top and bottom required
• Clock in and out at the facility
