Job Opportunity: GI/Endo Tech
Location
- Seattle, Washington
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift, 8 hours per day (10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday
- 1.0 FTE equals four 10-hour shifts
- Self-scheduling available for permanent team members
- Schedule confirmed 6 weeks in advance with some flexibility later in the contract
Unit Details
- GI/Endo Tech role in an ambulatory environment
- 4 procedure suites, 1 gastric lab, 1 HRA room
- Ratio: 1 GI tech per room
- Charge nurse staffed daily
- Rare floating possible to nearby locations
Job Duties
- Assist in procedure room with patient positioning
- Specimen collection
- Bedside precleaning of scopes
- Scope setup and breakdown
- Restocking supplies
- May assist in gastric lab with esophageal motility studies if experienced (not required)
Common Procedures
- EGDs (esophagogastroduodenoscopies)
- Colonoscopies
- Flexible sigmoidoscopies
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of previous GI tech experience
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) via HSPA Certificate
Orientation
- Unit-specific orientation with an experienced GI tech until competency is demonstrated
Additional Information
- Procedural scrubs provided onsite
- Parking is not reimbursed; garage parking available with daily and monthly options or use of public transit
- Washington state tax of 1.75% is auto-deducted but can be re-added by the worker
Call and Floating Requirements
- No weekend, weeknight, or holiday call requirements
- Rare floating to other nearby locations may be required
