Work Environment & Equipment
- Department has 10 X-ray rooms and 34 OR rooms
- Equipment includes:
- Philips digital X-ray rooms (mostly DR, some CR)
- 7 GE DR portable machines
- OR equipment: Ziehm and GE/OEC C-arms, Siemens O-arms
- EMR/PACS systems used: Cerner Power Chart, GE Centricity RIS, Philips Intellispace PACS
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Cover multiple areas including:
- General Radiology (X-ray)
- Outpatient clinic
- Inpatient and Outpatient Fluoroscopy
- Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic
- Emergency Room (ER)
- Fluoro/X-ray room in Critical Care Unit (CCU)
- Operating Room (OR) with 34 rooms
- Rotation through different areas on a weekly basis; may need to float to cover various locations
- Perform general imaging, fluoroscopy, OR imaging, and portable X-rays
- Operate O-arm and C-arm equipment in Fluoroscopy and OR
- Expected to cover all areas, with ER experience preferred
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Ability to cover all areas including Fluoroscopy and OR is important
Workload
- Average daily scans:
- OR (C-arm): 6-7 exams
- Fluoroscopy: ~10 exams
- General X-rays: ~73 exams
Scheduling & Shifts
- Shifts start between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Regular shifts are 8 hours; 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM) may be available
- Weekend work as needed
- Holiday work as needed
- Call required on an as-needed basis
Dress Code
- Scrubs provided for OR work (navy, gray, or mix)
- Casual clothes (no loungewear) to be worn when arriving and changing
Orientation
- Organizational orientation on first day with training modules
- One week of rotation through different areas for training
This position requires flexibility to work across multiple radiology areas, operate advanced imaging equipment, and meet certification and licensing standards specific to Washington state.
