Progressive Care RN

Overview

Contract role in Hilo, Hawaii
Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds: 3 Step down ICU and 12 telemetry
Day shift: 0645 to 1915
Scheduled 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
No guarantee of hours
No call

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Telemetry experience
BLS
Will float to all acute units in house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER

Preferred

Progressive Care experience
Telemetry experience
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS certification

Clinical Duties

Primary nursing care
Telemetry monitoring
Telemetry strip reading
Fingerstick blood sugar

Equipment / Systems

Meditech charting
Pyxis for medications
BIPAP
Continuous cardiac monitoring

Additional Notes

For a specific traveler
Scrubs
If not currently holding an active Hawaii license, must apply upon acceptance of offer
