Job Opportunity: Radiology Tech CT, Days

Location: Moses Lake, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Day shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• May include on-call standby shifts as needed (up to 24 hours of call off available during assignment)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Computed Tomography (CT) exams with and without power contrast injections
• Use automatic exposure control and adjust technical factors (kvp, ma, time, distance) appropriately
• Employ proper positioning techniques and immobilization following Radiologist protocols
• Administer contrast media and start IVs proficiently
• Accurately document patient and image information in HIS/RIS and PACS systems
• Transport, transfer, and position patients safely, evaluating mental and physical condition
• Maintain sterile techniques and handle confidential information according to HIPAA regulations
• Mentor students from Radiology Technology Programs
• Maintain professional growth through seminars, workshops, and affiliations
• Follow safety protocols including infection control, equipment handling, and safe lifting

Required Qualifications

• Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as RT(R) with CT certification
• Minimum of 2 years hospital experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification to be completed within 3 months of hire

Physical Requirements

• Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Frequent standing and walking
• Ability to lift, position, push, and transfer patients and equipment
• Manual dexterity and mobility required
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare team, patients, and families
