Diagnostic Imaging - Echo Tech

Location: Hilo, Hawaii

Job Description

Use of EMR system Epic starting November 1, 2025.
Must be competent to proficient in Adult Echocardiography including:
- 2D-Mode
- Doppler CW & PW
- Valvular disease studies
- Color flow mapping
- Cardiomyopathies
- Congenital heart disease
- Pericardial disease and effusions
- 2D & 3D Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs)
- Hypertensive heart disease studies
Pediatric echocardiography experience is a plus but not required.
Equipment used includes Canon i700 and i900 ultrasound machines.
40-hour shifts with call as appropriate.
Floating to other departments may be required.
Dress code: Personal scrubs or healthcare professional attire.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Echo Technologist in an acute hospital or acute care setting, including experience within the last year.
RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification required.
ARDMS or CCI certification accepted.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
Prior travel experience is required.

It’s always 4 to 1 except hallways you might only have 3. The staff is so kind and welcoming I have nothing bad to say about them. This was my favorite assignment so far
