Nursing Contract Opportunity - Hilo, Hawaii

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift
Hours: Scheduled 36 hours per week following first full week of orientation
Shift Flexibility: Must be flexible to work various shift lengths and days
Guarantee: No guarantee of hours or shift preference

Licensure & Certifications Required

Active State of Hawaii nursing license by start of assignment (travelers not currently licensed must apply upon acceptance)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Experience Requirements

2 to 10 years of nursing experience required (use higher value if discrepancy)
Prior travel experience is required

Job Details

Unit: Medical Unit (77 beds)
Nurse-to-patient ratio:
- Days and evenings: 1:6
- Nights: 1:8
May float to Laulima Unit and Cardiovascular Unit
Types of procedures: Medical unit procedures including use of wound vac, chest tubes
Equipment used: Meditech EMR, Pyxis
Dress code: Professional nursing attire

Orientation & Additional Information

Orientation time provided for each unit
Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday
Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start date (flu vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance appointment)
