Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Therapy (Speech Language Pathologist)

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Education / Licensure / Certification Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Speech/Language Pathology program
• Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred
• Current Hawaii state license as a Speech Language Pathologist required
• Current American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification required
• Current BLS/HCP certification required
• Completion of a FEES (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow) course with evidence of completion

Professional Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of full-time staff experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care setting prior to any travel assignments (2 years is the required specialty experience)
• Preferred: Prior FEES clinical experience; MBS ImP; adult swallowing, communication, and cognitive evaluation/treatment experience
• Experience in comparable size/type medical centers (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center) highly preferred

Additional Information

• Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date; failure to meet this will delay the start date while the end date remains fixed, resulting in a shortened contract
• Requested Time Off (RTO) is not permitted during the initial contract period
• Prior travel experience is required for this position

This position is ideal for experienced Speech Language Pathologists with acute care experience and specialized FEES training, ready to work in a fast-paced, large medical center environment.
