Contract Length: 13 weeks

Provide nursing care specific to the cardio-pulmonary medical/surgical unit.
Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify nursing interventions and patient care procedures as needed.
Manage care for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients.
Collaborate with patients and families to identify goals of care and maintain care plans.
Administer medications and evaluate their effects.
Prepare patients for procedures, manage pain, perform IV venipuncture, blood administration, and monitor labs.
Discharge patients with appropriate instructions for safe transition.
Document all care accurately using the electronic medical record (EMR).
Participate in team huddles and ensure effective communication among team members.
Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up to ensure completion.
Provide basic patient care such as turning and toileting according to standards.
Manage conflict and maintain professional communication within the healthcare team.
Promote patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
