Job Description
The Seasonal Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for implementing physician's orders for Occupational Therapy services. The role involves providing comprehensive OT care within an interdisciplinary team to help patients return to as independent and safe a lifestyle as possible.
The therapist must have knowledge and skills to care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations. This includes understanding growth and development principles and the ability to assess and interpret patient data to meet age-specific needs.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an approved four-year bachelor's degree program.
- Continuing Education: Proof of 2 hours of CVA-specific continuing education within the last 4 months.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year full-time acute care specific experience OR
- 2 years skilled nursing/inpatient rehab facility experience OR
- 2 years acute care specific experience (if working less than full-time hours in this area).
- Specialty Years of Experience Required: 2 years (based on the highest requirement among options).
- Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required.
