RN Oncology
Location: Peoria, Illinois Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12 hours per day, 36 hours per week) On Call: None
Role Overview
The staff Registered Nurse provides care to a designated group of patients for a set time frame, using the nursing process within the institution's philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Completes initial patient assessments and develops plans of care based on patient and family needs
- Implements and modifies plans of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date nursing documentation
- Reports or corrects safety hazards and incidents to protect patients and staff
- Provides constructive feedback to peers and fulfills departmental competency requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois state RN License in good standing
- Oncology experience (3 years)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
