Description
American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for an Oncology Med/Surg unit requiring at least three years of nursing experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Oncology Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- No on-call responsibilities
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR charting experience required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for an assigned patient group
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation for continuity of care
- Identify and report or correct safety hazards and incidents involving patients or staff
- Collaborate with colleagues and provide constructive feedback to support professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days during the 13-week contract
- Candidates who have worked for Carle Health continuously for more than 1 year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location
