Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel assignment in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
• 13-week contract.
• Nights: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• No local candidates within a 40-mile radius.
• Primary location: Hopkinsville, KY.
• Float requirement: none.
• On-call: 1 12-hour call shift every other week.
• Weekend/holiday requirement: every 3rd or 4th weekend and 1 Fall/Winter holiday.
• Scrub color: black.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience).
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
• BLS.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• NIHSS.
• 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience.

Preferred

• TNCC.
• Epic experience.
• Social candidates.

Unit Details

• Fast-paced Emergency Department caring for approximately 90 patients per day.
• Travelers work as part of the core ED team and should be prepared to function independently after department orientation.
• Assignments and patient placement may change throughout the shift based on volume, acuity, and department needs.
• Collaborative team environment with experienced ED nurses and providers.
• Focus on patient safety, efficient throughput, and supporting one another during periods of high volume and acuity.

• COVID-19 vaccine not required, subject to change.
• GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of orientation.
• Facility can cancel up to 36 hours within a 13-week period.
