Job Opportunity: Anesthesia Technician

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin

Contract Details

• Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Variable 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday (start times include 5:00 AM, 5:30 AM, 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, and 10:00 AM)
• Approximately 1 shift per week includes 1 hour of charge duties (6:00 AM - 7:00 AM) with approved charge pay
• Float: May be required to float to other nearby locations
• On Call/Call-Back: One backup and one call night per week, plus 1-2 call weekends per contract; call times either 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM or overnight
• Must have own vehicle for on-call requirements (firm requirement)
• Holiday: Rotating holidays
• Low census policy: Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; on-call hours count toward this; call-back pay available if called in
• Orientation week hours are not guaranteed

Job Description

• Assist anesthesia providers across various specialties with a focus on cardiothoracic program
• Support includes experience with hearts, central lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Preferred experience with Cell Saver, Belmont pump, and setting up central lines
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrubs: Any color

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of anesthesia technician experience (trauma level II experience highly preferred)
• At least one prior travel assignment required (prior travel experience required)
• Graduation from an Anesthesia Tech program preferred or relevant work experience
• Required Certifications: AHA BLS; ASATT certification preferred
• Must have own vehicle for on-call duties

Additional Information

• Radius Rule: Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Must be resilient, adaptable to change, and able to work well socially
• Flu and COVID vaccination required during flu season; mask required if unvaccinated per facility policy
