Shift: Day (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Surgical Technician assists the healthcare team during the intra-operative period by preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment, and assisting the surgeon throughout the procedure. This role requires knowledge of procedures across various specialties and the ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and respond immediately in urgent or emergency situations. The position involves care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Maintain aseptic technique during surgical duties to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instrumentation.
- Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts consistently according to policy.
- Adhere to professional standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Certification: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) and BLS (Basic Life Support).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge and training in Surgical Technology and Instrumentation Handling.

- Call required up to 40 hours per 6-week schedule.
