Job Description
Under general supervision, perform advanced professional work in exposing and processing radiographic images and fluoroscopy examinations. This role includes circulating to various diagnostic radiology areas such as surgery, trauma, and pediatrics. Recognized as an expert in the field or participating in training programs to enhance skills in specialized radiology areas or modalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate standard and portable radiology equipment to perform radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies, including intravenous pyelography, cystography, gastrointestinal series, and body section radiography.
- Assist physicians and perform specialized imaging procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and film output issues.
- Serve as a resource and preceptor for other Radiographers and/or students.
- Participate in training programs to develop proficiency in Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Special Procedures.
- Maintain records, inventory, and equipment for the primary area of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Note: This position is dedicated to surgery. Candidates must be proficient in the operating room (OR) and confident working independently during cases.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician, with experience within the last year.
- Proficiency in the Operating Room (OR) environment.
- Experience with C-arms, O-arms, and portable x-rays in a sterile environment.
