Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend
• Holidays may be required if needed

Unit Overview

• Stepdown and floor unit
• 31 beds total
• Patient mix includes medical-surgical, cardiac, diabetes, COPD, trauma, orthopedic, ENT, urology, and pain cases
• Telemetry is used on the unit, and nurses must be able to read and interpret strips
• No vents on the unit
• Charge nurse on each shift
• House supervisor in-house 24/7
• Respiratory therapy is in-house 24/7
• Nurse aides are available

Required Qualifications

• Active RN role
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Must be able to titrate drips in stepdown and heparin infusions on the floor
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips

Submission Requirements

• Candidate’s driver’s license must be included and unexpired
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Only one submission at a time across the WVU system
• Previous permanent employees must have been gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers who worked there for 1 full year must have been gone for 2 years
• Travel teams must be submitted together in one email
• Up to 2 candidates may be submitted per opening
