Labor & Delivery RN

Overview

• 13-week travel assignment in Jackson, Wyoming
• Nights, 3x12s
• Small, friendly Labor & Delivery unit
• Start: early to mid September

Required Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse)
• BLS (AHA)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• FHM - A1 Intermediate
• 1 year of experience

Preferred

• Stable

Unit Details

• 6 labor rooms
• 3 postpartum rooms
• Triage room
• 1 OR for C-sections
• LDRP patients
• Very rare general overflow patient
• 1:1 in L&D
• 1:3 max in postpartum
• Charge nurse 24/7 and takes a full assignment
• CNA coverage: 1 per shift
• Typically staffed on days with 3-4 RNs and 1 tech
• C-Sections are done in the L&D OR suite

Schedule and Coverage

• Every 3rd weekend
• Call is required: 6 hours of call per pay period
• Work into rotation with permanent staff
• 1 major holiday per season required
• Night shift uses block schedules
• 6 shifts over 2 weeks with preceptor

Additional Notes

• Paragon (McKesson)
• If on Tele, monitoring is done in the ICU at the central monitor station
• MedSurg PCU or LTC floats are task-only
• L&D will call floats back if unit needs demand it
• Any color or print is allowed
