Overview

• Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights
• Hours: 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week

Unit

• 7 WEST (Stepdown & Floor)
• 32 total beds: 12 Stepdown and 20 Floor
• Ratios: 1:3 for Stepdown; 1:4-6 for Floor

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• COVID vaccination required

Unit Details

• Typical MedSurg population
• Common patient types include chest pain, COPD, AMS, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, overflow for most services, and hospice
• Common titratable/set-rate drips are used in Stepdown; Floor patients get PCAs, heparin, etc.
• Telemetry is used on the unit, with telemetry monitor techs continuously monitoring strips
• RN support includes a free charge nurse per unit and an available House Supervisor
• Nurse aides are staffed at 4 when fully staffed for 32 beds

Scheduling

• 2 weekends per schedule
• Holidays are worked into the perm staff holiday schedule

Floating

• May be pulled to any floor or stepdown unit

Dress Code

• Royal Blue
