Job Summary
Seeking a Radiologic Technologist with experience in diagnostic radiology, specifically in general X-Ray procedures. The position involves working in a high-volume radiology department with a focus on portable chest X-rays (CXR), kidney-ureter-bladder (KUB) studies, and operating C-arm equipment for OR cases.
Work Environment & Duties
- Department has 3 main imaging rooms plus portable units.
- Coverage includes portables, OR, inpatient, and outpatient imaging.
- Average of 20 scans/studies per day.
- Equipment includes Carestream rooms and portables, Siemens room, and GE/Siemens/Phillips C-arms.
- No lead or supervisor coverage on 3rd shift or weekends.
- Radiologist available in-house.
- No IV starts required.
- Use of PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System) for imaging management.
- Orientation: 5 shifts specific to the unit/department.
- Shifts include Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7 PM to 7 AM.
- Weekend work required (Saturday day shift currently needed).
- No holiday work or on-call/standby requirements.
- OR scrubs provided; otherwise, any scrub color is acceptable.
- No self-scheduling or block scheduling available.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification.
- Massachusetts State Radiography License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Experience with OR and portable X-ray imaging is required.
Additional Notes
- High volume of portable and inpatient exams.
- Must be comfortable working independently during shifts without direct supervision on nights and weekends.
