Pediatric ICU (PICU) Registered Nurse - Travel Assignment

Location: Bronx, New York


Job Details

  • Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Unit Size: 26 beds
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shifts: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW)
  • Holiday Requirements: Yes
  • Orientation: Unit/Department specific orientation provided
  • Work Environment: Pediatric teaching hospital near NYC
  • Patient Population: Critically ill or surgical pediatric patients

Required Qualifications

  • License: New York State RN license
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU nursing experience
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Other Requirements:
    • COVID-19 vaccination required
    • Previous travel experience required
    • Academic hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Traveler friendly assignment with frequent opportunities to extend
  • Parking expenses expected to be covered by the nurse
  • Local placements accepted
