Job Opportunity: GI/Endo Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Burien, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced GI/Endoscopy RN with strong ERCP skills to work in an Endoscopy/GI Lab setting. The role involves admitting patients for GI procedures, assisting with procedures, and managing Phase II recovery from propofol sedation.

Required Qualifications

• Current Washington State RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Endoscopy/GI lab nursing
• Must have ERCP experience
• IV skills and Admit/Discharge experience required
• Prior experience with Epic electronic health records system preferred

Work Environment & Responsibilities

• Unit: Endoscopy/GI Lab with 2 procedure suites
• Patient load: 15-18 patients per day, distributed among Admit RN, Recovery RN, and Procedure RN
• Common procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD, Banding, ERCP, Dilations
• Duties include admitting patients, assisting/documenting during procedures, and Phase II recovery care
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Manager on site
• Support staff: Techs and nurse aides available in the department
• No respiratory therapy equipment involved (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, etc.)

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Shifts: 10-hour shifts with staggered start times (06:00-16:30, 06:30-17:00, 07:00-17:30)
• Call: Limited call required
• Night call: 1 weeknight per month
• Weekend call: 1 weekend per month
• No floating required

Orientation & Additional Information

• Department-specific orientation provided; length depends on traveler’s comfort level
• Scrubs provided

Prior Travel Experience

• Not explicitly required

This position is ideal for RNs with solid GI/Endoscopy experience, especially those proficient in ERCP, looking for a mid-length travel assignment in Washington state.
